This number has been calling me loads the past week, loads of missed calls. Just answered it at home and a man, said his name was Dave, was on the line wanting a bit of my time. Obviously, I told him I’m on the TPS and asked how they got my info. He claimed I’d done a survey, which is total rubbish as I never take part in phone surveys for exactly this reason. Told him to remove me from their database and, guess what? He cut me off straight away. Not shocked at all!

Thing is, I've had an active policy directly with Domestic and General for ages, and it renews automatically without any fuss. Honestly, watch out - this is definitely a scam.

I got calls from this number a few times telling me my sky insurance had expired. I mentioned I needed to check with my hubby first, and when he spoke to the person, the guy turned really nasty and unprofessional. That’s when I started feeling something was off. When I questioned him about it, he abruptly hung up. Just now, the same number rang again, and as soon as I picked up, they dropped the call immediately.

If you get those dead silent or dropped calls, make sure to tell Ofcom about them. Just leaving a comment here won’t faze the spam callers, but Ofcom actually does something when you report it - and it only takes a few minutes on their website. Don’t bother your phone provider either, they’re more interested in selling caller ID and making money from blocking services than sorting out the root problem.

I’m really fed up with these constant calls, and honestly, I think something should be done to stop them. Because of my anxiety and depression, I barely even answer my phone anymore - it’s the only way I keep in touch with people. When I questioned if he knew what machine I actually had, he said ‘Hotpoint’. I quickly told him that was wrong, and then he just cut me off. Watch out for this sort of thing!
