This number has been calling me loads the past week, loads of missed calls. Just answered it at home and a man, said his name was Dave, was on the line wanting a bit of my time. Obviously, I told him I’m on the TPS and asked how they got my info. He claimed I’d done a survey, which is total rubbish as I never take part in phone surveys for exactly this reason. Told him to remove me from their database and, guess what? He cut me off straight away. Not shocked at all!

I received a rather peculiar call from someone who inquired whether I could hear them. Upon my affirmation, they promptly ended the call! How odd and off-putting! I reckon individuals like that shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a phone if they can't conduct themselves with a modicum of civility and consideration for others!

Indeed, this number contacted me earlier today purporting to represent Domestic and General, claiming a quote linked to a legal alteration post-January 2017. They insisted that my current plan lapsed at midnight and that I needed to renew, presenting me with an offer for a one-off payment covering a three-year protection policy. However, I’m already covered by Domestic and General directly, a policy that has consistently been renewed automatically over the years. Just a heads up... THIS IS A CON.

I got calls from this number a few times telling me my sky insurance had expired. I mentioned I needed to check with my hubby first, and when he spoke to the person, the guy turned really nasty and unprofessional. That’s when I started feeling something was off. When I questioned him about it, he abruptly hung up. Just now, the same number rang again, and as soon as I picked up, they dropped the call immediately.

If you get those dead silent or dropped calls, make sure to tell Ofcom about them. Just leaving a comment here won’t faze the spam callers, but Ofcom actually does something when you report it - and it only takes a few minutes on their website. Don’t bother your phone provider either, they’re more interested in selling caller ID and making money from blocking services than sorting out the root problem.

They mentioned the option to block the number, but of course, there’s a fee involved. Why on earth should I have to fork out extra cash for a service that should naturally be part of the package? BT ought to be taking more proactive measures to eliminate this kind of bother for their customers.

I've received yet another call from this number today - it's my second one, and I chose to ignore it. Honestly, I've had enough of these relentless calls, and I really think something needs to be done to tackle this issue. My anxiety and depression make it difficult for me to pick up the phone, which should be my only connection to the outside world, but these scam calls have turned it into a source of dread. When I questioned if he knew what machine I actually had, he said ‘Hotpoint’. I quickly told him that was wrong, and then he just cut me off. Watch out for this sort of thing!

some bloke rang saying i'd got a warranty on my washing machine through them, and that it was about to run out today. he wanted to check i didn't want to lose the cover. he had my full name and where i live, but never told me his name or who he worked for. my washing machine's only just over a year old, which seems a bit strange for any warranty to be ending now. also, i don’t usually buy those extra warranties. be careful with calls like this!
