Someone called my mobile (a number I hardly ever share) and left a silent voicemail. When I looked into it, the landline is actually linked to the Leicester region, first assigned back in July 2004 to a company called "Magrathea" telecom. It could've been transferred to a different provider since, or might not even be active with anyone currently. Interestingly, this isn't the first occasion I've found a dodgy number connected to Magrathea!

Got a call from some scammer claiming there’s an issue with my internet and they need to access my computer to “fix” it, but really they’re after all my personal info. They say they’re from talktalk, bt, virgin - all sorts. Sometimes if you pick up, they just hang up straight away. Don’t be fooled, they’ll ring back again trying the same trick. It’s just to check if your number is active.
