I received a call, and the person on the line claimed to be Michael, a Microsoft technical adviser. However, they informed me that they were trying to contact a police station to file a complaint. I notified them that the call was being recorded and traced. Despite this, they called back three more times insisting on making a complaint and asking if the call had been traced yet. Eventually, they abruptly hung up and called back from an international number, but it was the same individuals on the other end of the line. It was an incredibly frustrating experience, to say the least.

I have received approximately fifteen calls from this particular number within a span of three days. Initially, there were no responses from the other end of the line. However, upon dialing the number with my own number withheld, I encountered an automated voice stating, "The number you have dialed is not recognized." It is worth mentioning that I have registered both my landline and mobile number with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) to avoid unsolicited calls. Unfortunately, this does not seem to deter these troublesome individuals.

Ive had 3 calls so far today and its only 2 in the afternoon. After the 1st one i looked up the number online (i never picked up any of them), and thanks to the folks who left comments, i soon realised it was probably a dodgy scam call. So a big THANK YOU to everyone who shared their experiences and especially to Google for letting us track these scammers down. Seriously, why arent our landline companies doing more to block these muppets? Come on Oftel, get your act together and do something useful for a change!

Got a call from an Asian bloke saying he was with Microsoft, I told him my PC was fine and no viruses here, called him out for being a scammer. Next thing he tells me to bugger off, so I gave him a piece of my mind back. That number’s definitely going on my block list.

This number rang me today around 4:15pm UK time. It was a confident bloke speaking with an Asian accent, saying there was some issue with my Google Business Listing. I got straight on my guard and told him to stop with the scam calls. He denied being a scammer and claimed Google cares about its users! He did know my name and phone number, which he must have got from my Google business profile. Annoying.

What a muppet! He must think I'm daft to let him on my computer for repairs when there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Watch out for this caller, folks.

The phone frequently rings at 08:45. I usually don't pick up, and then I resort to using the 1471 service, only to find out that the dialed number is not recognized. These individuals are becoming more skillful at concealing their caller IDs. The issue is that a call received during that time of day might be significant. It's frustrating.

Yet another computer scam. How foolish of them to think that I could be frightened into granting them direct access to my computer, considering all the warning signs that highlight the potential consequences. These individuals must be idiots indeed.

The call didnt actually ring through to me but my Call Guardian app showed it as a missed call. I reckon him having to say who he was before i could even decide to take the call probably made him hang up!

Hi, I had a similar call from an asian guy calling himself "ALEX". When I brought up the police, he quickly replies, "Do you know who you're talking to?" I just told him he's a scammer who takes advantage of honest folks. He kept insisting he was from Microsoft, but don’t buy it - they want you to install software that could nick your bank info. I played along just for laughs and followed what he said, it’s much more amusing to mess with them once you know they’re dodgy.

Some guy with an asian accent called, claiming to be from Microsoft. I told him he's definitely not from Microsoft and then the line just went dead. How come landline providers let this go on? You can download loads of free apps on your phone to block calls, so why is it you gotta pay just to block numbers on a landline? And they keep letting these scammy numbers through! I suppose I already know the reason - they’re just making a quick buck and couldn’t care less about their customers.

I received a phone call at 8.45am while I was still in bed. The person on the other end of the line started singing loudly. All they said was "that's not your problem." I decided to respond by placing my phone under the duvet and, after a few moments of them asking where I had gone, they eventually hung up. Based on comments I read on your website, it appears that this was a computer scammer. This is the second time this week I have received a call at that time from an unavailable foreign woman. She eventually claimed her name was Susan Faulkner. She became increasingly angry when I repeatedly told her that I do not have a computer. I forcefully told her to "go boil your head" and then hung up. It seems like my phone number is being passed around, but tough luck for them! Even though I may have grey hair, I am still sharp as a tack - hee-hee!

The caller informed me that there was an issue with my computer. I quickly mentioned that I am registered as part of the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), and questioned how they obtained my number. However, the caller responded saying that this was not the underlying problem. Decisively, I hung up the call, knowing better than to fall for the tricks of these scammers.

Some bloke called Kevin, said he was from Microsoft, sounded Asian. I've had calls from this number before, normally just ignore them but this time I picked up. My computer's knackered but I didn't say a word, just let him chat away while I popped off to make a cuppa. No idea when he hung up, honestly don't care. This scammer rang me up claiming to be from Microsoft. Was meant to be doing the garden, but as it was chucking it down, I figured I’d keep him hanging and said I’d fire up my computer (which I don’t even have). He kept shouting hello hello for about five mins. Then I told him the computer was on and he wanted me to describe what was on the screen. I said hang on while I got my glasses. He just kept shouting hello hello for another five mins. Eventually, I told him to jog on and have since blocked his number. Bit of a shame really, it was kinda entertaining.

My mum keeps getting calls from this number and others like it, all with similar rubbish stories. Someone who responded earlier had the right approach - just leave them on the line with silence for ages. It annoys them way more than it does me. They’re trying to hassle my mum, but I’m well up for turning the tables. If they’re stuck waiting on the phone, at least they’re not pestering anyone else. Usually, when they realise there’s no response, they hang up pretty quick. After that, it’s usually quiet from them for a bit!

I get this call pretty often, but when I answer, there’s nobody there.

Really tired of nobody answering, but hey, at least they finally pay the bill after one session...

They said they were gonna freeze my PC but I don’t even own one, I’ve got an Apple Mac. I just told them to give it a try and that I’d take legal action against them.

This bloke called asking for the computer's owner. I told him I don't chat about that stuff on the phone, then I hung up.

01162964089, definitely NOT Microsoft, some bloke claiming to be Asian (I say that quite loosely) wanting to get into my Windows 10 computer. When I asked which one, he just kept saying Windows 10, so I asked again since I’ve got a few machines. Then he called me a liar, saying I didn’t have that many PCs and to stop fibbing and just let him fix my “problem.” I said no and he just hung up. Looks like I’m gonna get more of these silent calls, I suppose.

Got a call from this number but no one spoke when I answered. I’ve got caller ID so I’m not gonna pick up if it rings again. Good thing sites like this exist to help us keep track of these kinds of calls.

I received a call from someone claiming that there is an issue with my Windows computer. However, I would like to clarify that I don't own a Windows computer. This is just another unfortunate attempt by scammers trying to deceive innocent people. They really need to find something more productive to do with their lives!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent, said his name was Eddie and he was with Microsoft. I just laughed and told him I wasn’t buying it. Then he said he’d keep ringing me non-stop ‘cause I wasn’t paying attention, and then he just hung up! Totally a scam, no doubt.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was from Microsoft, asking me to switch on my computer. I told him I don’t even own one, and then he started swearing at me! I just hung up. Had two more calls from different numbers today. This has been happening for a few weeks now.

Spoke to an Indian guy who was really rude and swore loads when I told him I don’t own a laptop. Could’ve scared some folks! Honestly found him vile! Tried ringing him back but the call wouldn’t go through!

Called my mother-in-law, she’s 93, and told her she’d left the gas oven on all through the night.

Got two calls within like 10 mins. It sounded like some call centre from India, and I could hear this bloke chatting away in some foreign tongue just in the background, probably didn’t realise I was on the line.

I kept waiting but there was just silence on the other side of the call.

A guy with an Indian accent rang me claiming he was from Microsoft. When I joked and asked if something was wrong with my PC, he suddenly switched and said he’d put a camera in my bathroom! Definitely block this number!

Got three calls today from the same number. First time, some bloke called ‘Brian’ said he was from Microsoft and wanted to check my computer. Told him to jog on and hung up. Half a minute later, they called again, this time asking “Excuse me madam, why are you so angry?” I didn’t say a word, just ended the call. Thirty seconds later, another call came in but I ignored it till it went to voicemail. After that, I put the number into this site and found out it’s dodgy. Cheers to everyone who left their comments here!

This number rang me a few times, always asking for the ‘computer owner’. I wouldn’t trust anyone from it! Caller was listed as Unknown.

Got a call claiming they were from Microsoft warning me my computer was in danger. I ended the call straight away, but they rang me back two more times. I've now blocked the number.
