Keeps ringing from 01162903069, really annoying sales calls. Cold calling like this is just wrong. There’s no one at their end to speak to about it, just some automated system. No email address either, feels like a scam to me.

Been getting loads of calls the last few days, we usually have the radio on in our tiny office of just three folks. They mentioned fines so now we just keep quiet. No way I'm paying for something thats half ads anyway. The TV licence is annoying enough as it is.

Tried calling to chat about card payment options, but the screen showed the name "Gem Marketing". Wanted to get hold of the business owner.

Got a cold call from some PPL/PRS lot asking for loads of business info, which we never share with strangers ringing out of the blue. They were really sly and kept pushing, wouldn't leave me alone until I put them straight. They said they’d ring again, but I’ve blocked the number now.

These callers are complete scams, really risky. Best thing is to just put the phone down and don’t bother chatting. Definitely not worth your time or energy at all.

about the music licensing lot, told em the md was poorly, asked for his home number, they said no way, said it’s really urgent to speak to him today, I was like, which part of 'off sick' don’t you get? Then they go, oh, i thought he was working from home or summat.

Check out the comment from 08/08/2018 by someone who’s obviously working for the company. That pretty much says it all about them and their staff. They’ll just keep going on about some music licence. If you’re using copyrighted music then sure, you do need one, but you can easily reach out to PRS and PPI yourself. No need to bother with these dodgy characters!!!

Spam call. Just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from some cold caller. Wanted to talk to the owner of the business but didn’t even know their name. My tip: just block this number straight away.

Keeps spamming about music licences you dont require. Completely disregards the TPS register, which I believe is against the law.

They can be quite forceful. But as soon as they reckon they’ve got you, they usually say the call is being taped - I just say I don’t agree to being recorded and that’s usually the point where they stop talking.

Don’t recognise this number. I just ignored it.

PPL PRS LTD keep calling saying I need a music licence for tunes I never play. They’re as daft as the TV licence lot and reckon no one can manage working without music, so they just keep ringing. (To them) Why don’t you send someone to hang out here for a week, they can sit and listen to NO music if you don’t believe me. I’m here to work, not to jam to tunes.

Total muppets, so pushy and in your face. Absolute pests. Best thing to do? Just cut them off!

So frustrating and just plain harassment. Best thing is to just end the call quickly, no point arguing because they'll just keep ringing till you block em.

Phone rings once and when you pick up, silence. I've dealt with these idiots (PRS) before. Loads of calls and letters. They aren’t “just doing their job” - they’re basically trying to scam people. The only fees that could be genuine are for music on hold. All other charges have been covered already.

They called about music licences for my company. Not a scam at all, they even pointed me to the official government site, here’s the link www.gov.uk/licence-to-play-live-or-recorded-music. Really good customer support.

Really persistent callers. Feels a bit dodgy to me. Even if they are genuine, their approach is all wrong. Funny enough, the green reviews below look like they’re from folks working there. Clearly, they know exactly what they’re doing.

Watch out, they were really nasty and not professional at all - kept asking for my personal info.

PPL-PRS music licensing is definitely legit, but like lots of others have mentioned, the main issue is they just won't accept a simple NO.

They rang looking for an old director from a company I used to work at. I told them they'd moved on, and the bloke just cut me off straight away. Proper cheeky!

They ring me a couple times weekly, refusing to accept a no, and get quite rude and smug. If you need a music licence, I’d suggest choosing a more professional company than this lot.

Hate when people dont listen to me saying no, had to block em.

Absolutely a scam - they claimed our business music license was expired and needed renewing, but we never even had one! Some folks here say it’s legit and anyone who disagrees is just “uneducated,” probably employees trying to cover up what they’re really up to. Best thing to do is just ignore and hang up.

This number seems really dodgy, best to steer clear of the green texts. Someone’s definitely messing about with this service!

To the one who posted 13 hours back, you're the absolute worst, thinking it's fun to talk down to folks who are just doing their job. Honestly, with that kind of attitude, I wouldn't be shocked if you treat your family just as badly.

Annoying pest who wouldn’t stop calling - kept dodging my questions, sounded like some dodgy insurance scam. After over 20 calls I told them to buzz off and never ring again. Absolute nightmare! They should find proper work instead of hassling us honest folk.

Got a call from some centre trying to find offices that have music playing so they can charge them or somethin. They seemed a bit all over the place. I checked them out on Google and they do look real, but honestly they were pretty persistent. I can understand why some might think its a con.

It's legit, not a scam! Those saying it's shady or threatening usually just don't get how business works; probably a few screws loose upstairs!

This number belongs to PRS for Music, they handle licences for using music in work places. Folks calling it a scam or dangerous probably dont know much about the licences businesses need. Honestly, if you’re upfront about not using music and clear about your business, theres no issue. I did just that and everything was fine.

Got a call from this number. Had a chat with someone named Sam from ppl prs limited regarding music licensing. He asked a couple of questions about how our company uses music, then told me we don’t need a license since there’s no music played at the office. Really polite bloke and said he'd update their records. I rung ppl prs using the number on their site and they confirmed 01162960888 is their official number for calling businesses.

They were asking about needing a music licence for an office, but since I work from home, it wasn’t really something that applied to me. So I didn’t bother getting into it to check if it was a legit call or not. Nice bloke mind you.
