They informed me that transactions amounting to £1600 for Amazon and another merchant had been made on my Visa card. They prompted me to press 1 to connect with a representative. When I finally got through, the person answered with, "Hello, this is the Visa Security Department, how may I assist you today?" It was the usual Nigerian scammer routine from an Indian call centre.
