We keep getting calls on our home phone from 01162881788, like 6 or more times every day. They keep saying there's some issue with our internet and tell us to turn on our laptop. They say they’re from TalkTalk, but when I rang TalkTalk myself, they denied it and said they'd send the number to their fraud team. Haven’t had any updates from them since though.

This number rang me a few times and finally, on the third call I picked up, someone just said “hello” and then hung up right away. It’s definitely worth searching the number online first. After seeing all these reviews, I’m ready if they try calling me again.

This number 01162881788 rang me four times today but everytime it was just silence on the other end. I was hoping for a voicemail but nothing was left. Bit odd to be honest.

Definitely a scam, they say they're from TalkTalk and even mention your account number to sound legit. Then they tell you that your wifi router is messing up your computer, convincing you to open event viewer where they show loads of errors and say they’ll fix everything. After that, they ask you to visit a remote access site so they can control your PC. Don’t let them in! They’re after your passwords and private details. Afterwards, they try to push a subscription to "keep your computer updated and free from viruses". Just cut the call immediately.

Complete rubbish! They've been ringing me nonstop for nearly a week, sometimes calling up to 8 or 10 times a day!

I’ve had about 10 calls from them just today, all with the same nonsense. Over the weekend, I’ve been bombarded with 22 annoying calls in total. They’re really quite impolite as well.

They won’t leave me alone, ringing non stop from morning till evening for weeks now. I’ve told them loads of times to remove my number but clearly they couldn’t care less. Honestly thinking about switching my broadband just so I can get a provider that lets me block these calls without paying, this constant pestering is driving me mad!

Got calls for days from what said they were talk talk, wanting to get into my computer. They kept ringing non stop, real pain. I told talk talk about it and they said it’s definitely a scam, so watch out for this.

Don’t pick up! This is one of those dodgy calls pretending to be from TalkTalk. They sound really convincing and even mention a TalkTalk account number, which made me quite uneasy. Total scam.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying there was a major issue with my computer that needed sorting. He claimed he wanted to fix the problem but needed me to let him access my laptop. When he called again and wanted me to press some keys, I told him I didn’t trust him, especially since he'd rung the day before asking for similar stuff. I asked him to prove he was legit, and then he just hung up on me. That’s two calls down, and if he rings again, I’m not having any of it.

This number keeps calling me non stop and claiming to be from TalkTalk, but I’m not even a customer there. They kept telling me there was a problem with my internet connection and asked me to check my computer. I told them I don’t own a PC, but he insisted I had a laptop. I said I didn’t and then they just ended the call. It’s a proper scam and someone’s definitely gonna get scammed if this keeps happening. Someone needs to sort this out ASAP.

This was the fifth time today I got a call claiming to be from TalkTalk. By the last one, they started getting really rude and abusive.

Had about 5 calls from this lot today, each time saying there’s an issue with my internet. Problem is, they keep naming different service providers that I’m definitely not with. I’m on the TPS list and told them I’ve reported them already. Not expecting them to give up anytime soon though, so we’ll see if the calls actually stop!

So I got a call from someone claiming to be from TalkTalk. They told me my laptop was infected with some nasty viruses and asked to remotely access it. Then, after mentioning some past security probs with TalkTalk, they said I was due a refund and wanted my bank details. I don’t use online banking, so I didn’t give them any card info, even though they asked. Turns out it was probably a scam - I checked TalkTalk’s official site and it says they never ask for remote access. Fingers crossed they didn’t get anything off my laptop. Can’t believe I fell for it so easily!

Some days I get bombarded with up to eight calls from these so-called TalkTalk folks saying they need to install some software. Took me by surprise the first time - I almost got caught out. I’ve tried everything, from shouting at them over the phone to pretending to listen for ages. They just hang up and switch to a new number constantly. Honestly, I didn’t realise there were that many phone numbers floating around! I used to report it straight to TalkTalk, but nothing changed until they actually started messing with our accounts. Ridiculous.

Some bloke called saying he needed to get into my laptop, said he was installing virus protection because my computer supposedly had loads of viruses. Then he asked me to log into my bank account. I looked later and saw money had been shifted from my ISA to my current account. I rang my bank straight away, they reversed the transfer and blocked everything. Couldn't get off the phone quick enough after that!

I was a bit confused when this bloke kept telling me to switch my computer on. He claimed it wasn’t running properly and he’d sort it out. He mentioned something about TalkTalk, but we don’t use them as our provider. When I said I didn’t even own a computer, he just hung up on me.

I received two calls; the first one I managed to speak with someone before they abruptly disconnected. The second time, as soon as I picked up, the line went dead again.
