6 yearsGot a call from this number today claiming our computer was under constant hacking attempts. They pretended to be from Microsoft, saying they needed to urgently update some security settings or else our system would get compromised. Sadly, one of my colleagues let them install some software that gave them remote control of our computer. After gaining access, they demanded a payment of £4.99, and when we refused, they threatened to lock us out of the network. Luckily, we quickly disconnected the affected PC and had our IT expert remove the malicious program, stopping them dead in their tracks.
