A man called but didn’t say who he was and wanted to talk to my mum. I told him I’m her daughter and can answer, but he just kept saying he needed to speak to my mum. I explained she’s not available and I can discuss anything instead. His voice seemed familiar, like he’s called before. I told him my mum’s told me before she’s not interested in whatever he’s selling. She’s 83 years old! I asked him to take my number off his list. I’ve blocked his number now. So annoying!

They've been ringing for ages, I remember years back it was about house insulation or something like that. Just got another call today and honestly, they really should be banned. It’s so stressful, especially for my mum who’s 85 - it’s just too much hassle for her.

Got a call from Warmhouse today, said they were working locally with insulation and all that. I’ve blocked the number now, can’t stand these cold calls pushing stuff on you. Really think they should ban this sort of thing. It’s just a pain, especially for someone like me, 85 years old and on a pension. Feels like harassment.

Got a voicemail from someone saying they were from HM Revenue & Customs, saying I'm under investigation for tax evasion - classic HMRC scam! HMRC legit never ring you up, they only get in touch by email or official letters. Just blocked the number.

Told them we were planning on doing some internal refurbishing and not ready to sort out doors and windows yet, but he kept pushing. Told him again I’d get in touch if we needed anything. Then he asked if I wanted finance depending on my age - I stopped him right there and said I wasn’t interested, and he then said I was being rude. They rang both my landline and mobile. IF THIS NUMBER SHOWS UP, DO NOT PICK UP. If you do, just hang up quickly.

Some bloke phoned me, knew my name and claimed we had chatted last year. I told him he was behind the time because we’ve had building work done this year and the builder sorted new windows for the rest of the place. Then he seemed to imply I was making it all up about the extension and the windows! I got proper mad and dialled the number back just to have a go at him. I asked if that meant everyone, even those on the TPS like me, and he just went on about deleting my details. I told him I’m on the TPS to stop these annoying calls, but he just kept dribbling on about something else. I hung up. Seriously, what’s the point of the TPS if scammers like this still keep ringing?
