I think this was a scam. I got an automated voice claiming to be from the bank saying Amazon charged me twice, once for £300 and then £1,000. What bugs me is that the call came from a local number, made it seem real. I tried ringing back but kept my number hidden and the call just didn’t connect.

I got dialled by a number from the same area code twice in as many days, but each time they just dropped the call as soon as I picked up. Strange!
