10 yearsI made the mistake of handing over my info and got stuck in some kind of "contract". They started threatening to damage my business and insisted I pay a cancellation fee. Then they offered to drop the fee if I sent them a few photos for a small charge. It really stressed me out for days. Honestly, I wouldn't trust them at all.11 yearsHey Lisa! I really appreciate your lovely words. No worries at all about the ring-I was happy to give it to you!Lisa11 yearsThese lot keep ringing me up over and over trying to push some kind of advertising on me. I've told them loads of times I don't own a company or anything to sell, but they just don't listen. Seems like they're only interested in taking your cash. I just avoid them now.11 yearsHaving reached out to the Trading Standards Institute, I was advised that the “Aspire Magazine Group” is engaged in deceptive practices. Apparently, they've been fleecing small enterprises since as far back as 2013. Their usual trick is to promise a spot in their so-called top 10 listings in a magazine that they claim is widely disseminated, including locations like local shops and train stations. They also boast about featuring businesses on their website and giving them a shout-out on social media platforms-all under the guise of a complimentary promotional package, for a price tag that ranges from £300 to £700. While they have a presence online and distribute digital versions of their magazines, I've yet to see a single hard copy in any of the venues they tout. It's rather perplexing! If you find yourself in doubt, I strongly urge you to conduct your own investigation. It could very well spare you from falling prey to their unscrupulous tactics!Trading Standards InstituteAspire Magazine Group11 yearsI've come across the Aspire magazine group, and it seems they're offering advertising slots for businesses in their publication. However, I'm a bit sceptical about whether it's the real deal or just a bit dodgy. What do you reckon?Aspire11 yearsSuch a dodgy ploy to pressure you into buying an ad space in their magazine. Heads up - they'll flatter you loads (saying your business is amazing, you're crushing it, top of the game...) but DON'T share any details about your company with them. We’ve got our own call recording setup here and we've even reported them to OFCOM. Despite being listed on the TPS, these lot blatantly ignore the rules and are just out to make a quick buck from you. Best advice: steer well clear. Don’t let them trick you. Their address pops up as 29-35 St. Nicholas Place, Leicester LE1 4LD, but they operate under Aspire Magazine at 4 Harcourt Way, Meridian Business Park, Leicester LE19 1WP. Feels pretty shady if you ask me...WARNINGOFCOMTPSAVOIDSAFESt. Nicholas PlaceLeicesterAspire MagazineHarcourt WayMeridian Business ParkUK11 yearsI had a really unpleasant experience with Aspire magazine - the sales were pushy and the staff seemed quite rude.Aspire11 yearsThis number has called multiple times this week, yet never takes the time to leave a message.
