I caught this scam being shown on the BBC 1 programme ‘Scam Interceptors’. On iPlayer, you get to see how some white-hat hackers manage to hack into scammers’ systems while they’re still running their con, trying to stop them in real time. It’s a must-watch if you want to keep your money safe. There’s also a good show about scams on Channel 5, which you can find on My5. If you spot a dodgy text, you can report it by sending it to 7726.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Visa’s fraud team, saying there were two odd transactions on my card. I looked it up and found no such charges! Plus, it’s not like the number was even from around here in Leicester. Pretty fishy if you ask me!
