I've been receiving calls from this number, 0116 254 7861, where they just ring and then hang up. It's crossed my mind that they might be raking in some cash for each call that gets picked up. Definitely sounds like a scam to me!

As soon as I greeted the caller, they abruptly hung up on me. Upon redialling, I was met with what seemed to be a fax machine, given the bizarre sounds coming through. The number originates from Leicester, it seems.

I just had a rather bemusing experience with one of those prank callers. The line was all fuzzy and I was met with complete silence before a dodgy voice, clearly struggling with English, asked for someone I don’t even recognise. In a fit of whimsy, I decided to entertain him a bit and began to play a cheeky tune on my phone’s keypad. When he finally inquired if I had wrapped it up, I just gave him a high-pitched beep for good measure! To my delight, he promptly hung up. It’s quite amusing how well this tactic seems to work against such bothersome cold call miscreants!

We get at least 3 of these annoying cold calls every day. Seriously, just go away whoever you are!!!!!!

Got a call from some guy claiming he’s from India, saying my boiler needs urgent checking. Thing is, I don’t even own a boiler! When I told him that, he actually got a bit cheeky and rude! Not a fan of these odd calls at all.
