I really wouldn’t just ignore this sort of nonsense. Head over to https://ico.org.uk/for-the-public/nuisance-calls/ and file a complaint with the ICO. They’ve got the authority to hit repeat offenders with fines as big as £500,000. I’ve been reporting these calls for 6 days straight now, and fingers crossed, they’ll eventually get fined enough to stop bothering people!

Called me twice over the last couple of days, asking for my missus who apparently has an account with Classic Confidence. The caller said she’d chat with me instead and then went on and on about loads of different deals. I told her I wasn’t bothered and that I don’t really do phone calls, prefer emails. Got one call from this 0116 number, but loads from 0845 numbers saying the same stuff about energy checks and boiler replacements. I talked to one person, but as soon as I told them I’d just swapped my boiler, they dropped the call. No clue how they make cash from this, unless their annoying sales folks somehow convince people to hand over card info, or maybe it’s a premium rate line. Either way, best to just hang up!

Got a call on 20th April 2016, they wanted to talk to Mr Smith. I asked which Mr Smith they meant, and the woman, who sounded like she might be Asian, said she'd check with Mrs Smith. Then Mrs Smith came on and started asking for info about the house owner. We said there were a few people involved. After that, she just hung up. I reckon this was someone scoping the place out.
