6 yearsGot a call from someone pretending to be Amazon. The automated voice said something about an Apple iPad order that was about to be delivered, and if I didn’t cancel it right away by pressing 1, money would be taken from my account. They really try to rush you with that urgent tone. I’ve received a few of these calls today from different numbers, the last one showing up on my caller ID as an Ipswich 01473. I’m ex-directory so how they get these numbers is beyond me. Just to check, I pressed '1' and a guy named “Michael” answered, speaking with a very strong Asian accent.
