5 yearsJust received one of those dodgy calls claiming to be from Amazon. I picked up, and a robotic voice blurted out, "Your Apple iPad order is on its way. If this isn’t right, you need to press 1 to speak to a representative and halt the transaction, or your funds will be deducted instantly." They really ramped up the urgency! Seems like they're using some sort of number generator, as I've been bombarded with three of these within the same day, the last one coming from an Ipswich 01473 number, even though I’m not listed in any directory. Out of curiosity, I pressed '1', and a quite heavily accented gent who went by "Michael" answered without any introduction, just straight in with "How can I assist you?"
