Got a call on my landline bright and early at 7am from someone saying they were Microsoft. I asked if they realised what time it was, and they said they did. I was quick to tell them we both knew they weren’t actually from Microsoft and just some scammer messing about, then gave them a bit of my mind. Ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Didn’t pick up, the number didn’t look familiar at all. 01162223275 rings through but I just ignored it.

Today, 21st December around 08:35, I got a call but when I picked up, nothing, just silence. Couldn't figure out who it was. I looked the number up here and ended up blocking it.

This number rang me earlier today on my home phone, which I never share with anyone, so I just ignored it. Seems like someone’s been sneaky, collecting numbers - that’s why I marked it as annoying. I didn’t pick up, let it go to voicemail, but no message was left. The number showed properly on my caller ID and I got it confirmed through 1471 as 0116223275. Honestly, best to just steer clear and not pick up. I barely use my landline anyway, it’s there only because it came with my internet bundle. No one should have this number!

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, asking if I was using broadband and claimed their tech was nearby. He went on about whether my internet was running strangely slow or fast. I told him I hadn’t really had any issues. Then he started telling me to plug in one of my gadgets or something like that. I wasn’t having any of it, so I just said no thanks and ended the call. Felt really fishy to me - definitely a scam, wouldn’t trust it for a second!

Got a phone call from 01162223275 earlier saying they were from my bank. I didn’t even bother talking to them and just ended the call straight away because I know my bank only contacts me on my mobile, not my landline. I rang my bank on my mobile afterwards to check and they told me it definitely wasn’t them. They’ve now added this number to their fraud alert list so hopefully they can stop these scammers from bothering others.

My partner answered the phone this morning at 7am and all they hear is someone shouting "hello hello" on the answerphone. We're both older and really tired of getting these annoying calls constantly.
