Got a call from someone claiming to be the Openreach tech team, said it was about a broadband problem in my area. They told me they’d fix it remotely because they can’t come to the house due to Covid. Didn’t ask for any personal info though. The guy had a strong Asian accent and I could hear other voices in the background like a call centre. I hung up and rang my internet provider to confirm, as I was already waiting to hear from tech support about a connection fault. They said Openreach doesn’t make those calls and warned me it was a scam.
