Thought it was HM Revenue and Customs claiming there was some fraud linked to me and if I didn’t stay on the line, I’d get arrested! They asked me to hit 1 to chat with someone, I did, then the call just dropped.

Got a call supposedly from HMRC about some fraud case - an automated voice said if I didn’t press 1 to talk to them, they’d send a warrant out for my arrest.

Got a call from 0161 245 5455 Manchester at 1.15pm on 5th June 2020. When I tried ringing back, an automated message said the number isn’t valid! An Asian bloke rang me twice within 15 minutes, both times saying he was from the road traffic department about a recent accident I supposedly had.
