Today, I received a rather dubious phone call from a chap purporting to be a technician from BT. He informed me that my internet connection had been compromised and insisted that I disconnect it immediately. What’s more, he proposed to help me fix the so-called issue, but his instructions were clearly a ruse to gain access to my computer. The irony is, he’s the one I should be wary of - truly a hacker in disguise!
