In just half an hour this morning, I got 5 calls all from women speaking with an Indian accent, claiming to be from Virgin Media. They said there was an issue with my broadband and router, and wanted me to connect with their technical supervisor. I humoured them briefly, telling me to switch on my laptop, but they soon caught on I wasn’t buying it and ended the call. The numbers showed up as Leicester, but others were 0151 523 3383 (pretending to be Liverpool), 01782 376494 (Stoke-on-Trent), plus some from India like 03407 715219 (West Bengal) and 0611 963 4915 (Bihar).
