Got a ring from some bloke with an Asian accent, going on about a Government Grant that’s meant to clear my unsecured debts. I told him I’m on the TPS list, but he kept pushing and said I should talk to a supervisor - then claimed he was the supervisor himself! When I made it clear I wasn’t interested, he said I’d keep getting calls as long as I had debt, which I don’t. Had to tell him to jog on in the end!

I got a call and picked up, and a guy with a really strong Indian accent started off with "Hi, I'm Dave." It definitely didn't sound like he was from the UK - it was one of those hard to understand voices you get from overseas call centres. He said something about a debt management company. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.
