I got a call from a man checking on the status of my recent PPI claim. I told him everything was sorted and the payment had arrived. He then asked if I’d actually got the money, and when I said yes, he sounded quite confused - not sure why really. He then said goodbye and hung up. I made a PPI claim ages ago through a decent firm, so I was sure this was a scam, probably trying to get my bank details. The number’s blocked now, and I’ll keep doing the same for any more calls that come from different numbers.

got a call from this guy alan who was really friendly but barely spoke any english. he said something about a ppi claim i made with them and that they had good news. yeah right, i just told him to get lost.

Got a call saying I had some PPI money waiting for me, which was rubbish, so I just ended the call straight away. Blocked the number after that.

Got a call from someone saying they're from BT, warning me my internet might get disconnected, but I don’t even have BT as a provider. The caller had a strong foreign accent, spoke poor English and there was loads of noise in the background. Definitely a scam trying to fish for personal info. When I asked them to give me my IP address, they just ended the call straight away. Stay clear of these dodgy calls.
