She informed me of suspicious activity linked to my card-something like £300 spent on Amazon, along with a few other transactions that seem to have slipped my mind. When I punched in the number 2 to speak with someone, a gentleman with what I think was an Indian or possibly Pakistani accent picked up. I nonchalantly inquired if he could tell me my name, to which he replied in the negative. The whole thing reeked of a scam, and I didn’t hesitate to call it out!
