I received a call earlier today from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming there was an issue with my router. I didn’t stick around for the whole chat and promptly hung up. I've since activated call barring on my phone to avoid any future nonsense.

Received a call earlier today. Same old con job... "I'm from TalkTalk, and your router is infected with a virus..." I kept it civil, wishing the chap with the Asian accent a Merry Christmas. Then, I was taken aback when he inquired if I was a woman and my age. I was like, why is that of any concern to you? His reply was rather pushy, urging me to stop dilly-dallying. I just chuckled and said, "Hang on a moment, I really must record this gem before we continue, it’s too amusing to let slip by!" Then, just like that, he disconnected the call.

Once more! I attempted to set up an agreement with TalkTalk where they would kick off their call with a specific "code word" or phrase, but they flat out turned me down. It was rather amusing that they claimed they’d send an email beforehand, which made it crystal clear that Jaye is up to no good.

I get bombarded with calls from this number at least three times daily. Just like many others, I suspect my router’s been compromised. I once decided to call their bluff and engaged with one of their so-called customer service reps, who, quite cheekily, told me to "clear off, you muppet". But lo and behold, they rang back later that same day! Come on, TalkTalk, this is getting beyond a joke now!

I'm increasingly exasperated with TalkTalk! I decided to part ways with them prior to the hacking incident, yet they still appear to be holding onto my data.

Is it not possible for someone to prevent this number from making any further calls?

I had a rather peculiar phone call yesterday from a gentleman sporting an Indian accent who claimed to be from TalkTalk, insisting that they owed me a refund. He went on to request that I complete a form for them. It's undoubtedly a fraudulent attempt!

What a right nuisance! I received three phone calls today from someone claiming there was a virus on my router. He pretended to be from TalkTalk and insisted I check if my computer was switched on. When I mentioned that I didn't possess one, he abruptly hung up! It's quite appalling that TalkTalk allowed my details to be shared so recklessly. I'm seriously considering switching providers at this point.

I just received a call from this number, with someone supposedly representing TalkTalk. They stated that my router had picked up a dangerous virus and urged me to turn it on for them to fix the issue. The fellow had a strong Asian accent. When I queried how I could confirm he was genuinely from TalkTalk, he abruptly ended the call. It's rather suspect, if you ask me!

I experienced a rather bothersome incident today. The caller tried to get me to verify the status of my router by checking if the lights were blinking, then they instructed me to log into my computer and enter a command in the "Run" dialogue. Following that, they requested I download a file from some website. When I pressed for an explanation, they dodged the question completely. So, I informed them I had their number and intended to lodge a complaint against them. The cheeky blighter rang me back, and I firmly told them never to contact me again. I've since blocked the number, as it’s clearly some kind of scam. If you find yourself in a similar situation, just hang up and don’t entertain their nonsense!

I’ve just had a rather fishy phone call from this number, with someone asserting they were from TalkTalk. I promptly informed him that he wasn’t affiliated with TalkTalk and questioned why he was attempting to pull a fast one on me. To start with, he outright denied it, which was rather amusing. I insisted once more that he wasn’t genuinely representing TalkTalk, and then, lo and behold, he cut the line! Quite the dodgy character, isn’t he?

Just like the rest, really. An Asian chap claimed he was from Talktalk, saying my router was infected with a virus that could spread to my computer. Curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to play along for a bit to see where it would lead. He started off by inquiring if my router’s lights were flashing, to which I replied in the affirmative, and he seemed pleased. Next, he instructed me to press the Windows key and "R" simultaneously to access the "Run" dialogue. He was about to tell me what to type, but I firmly declined. That’s when he remarked on how I could get in touch with Talktalk’s tech support without entering the details he wanted. I maintained my stance, and then he had the gall to recite my account number! Clearly, they’ve got a list on hand. I refused to validate it, and he politely ended the call. In hindsight, I’m now a bit curious about what he wanted me to input. Perhaps I’ll have another go next time.

Received a dodgy call purporting to be from the Talk Talk Router team, claiming there was an issue with my router. They even had my personal details and account number, which made it sound rather believable. However, upon ringing Talk Talk directly, I was informed that they never reach out to customers about router issues and that there was no record of them contacting me. Quite the scam!
