QMC claiming that I've attempted to ring them? Sounds like a scam to me!

I stumbled upon this number, and it turns out to be linked to Nottingham University Hospital. When I attempted to return the call, an automated message revealed their identity and informed me that they wouldn't be able to take my call. Quite frustrating, really!

It's worth noting that the staff there aren't permitted to leave voicemails with any medical details, which could explain the silent calls you might receive. If they ring again, especially if you're anticipating news from the hospital, it’s wise not to disregard the call.

It’s quite plausible that this number has been compromised by an enterprising cold caller. Who can tell what’s going on these days?

After doing a bit of online digging today and reflecting on a call I had with a family member yesterday, it appears that the number I’m trying to trace likely belongs to either the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham or Nottingham City Hospital. They’re fairly close to one another and seem to have some connections.

Today, I received a call from the number 01159709900. As soon as I picked up, the line went silent. If this is indeed a hospital, it’s certainly not about me, since I don't reside anywhere near Nottingham and I have no pending appointments. It feels suspicious, so I'm inclined to believe it could be a scam.

I just dials this number from my home phone, curious about which department it belonged to. However, I was met with a recorded message stating that I'd received a call from Nottingham University City Hospitals today. It went on to say there's no need for me to return the call, as they'll be the ones to reach out if necessary. Quite the odd setup, isn't it?

We’ve been eagerly waiting for an important call from our local hospital, so when we got home, I decided to ring 1471 to see if there had been any missed calls. To my surprise, the number listed rang at 12:18, but upon checking with family and friends, it was clear that this number wasn’t familiar to us at all. It’s become a right nuisance, as we receive at least three unsolicited calls each day. Often, they’re silent, with nobody on the other end, or it’s someone with a foreign accent who claims, “We’re not selling anything, just need to pose a couple of questions.” Despite our polite refusals, they carry on regardless, so we eventually end up cutting the line.
