6 yearsOn Christmas day, some bloke with a terrible Indian-English accent rang up my mum, telling her there was an issue with the BT router. He started instructing her on how to check her laptop and phone, trying to get her to follow his directions to ‘fix’ the problem. Luckily, I was with her at the time and spotted this scammer straight away. It's crazy how BT and the cops don’t seem to team up more to nab these scammers and put an end to this nonsense.BT6 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be BT Openreach, threatening to disconnect my internet. I’m not even a BT Openreach customer, so I figured straight away it was dodgy. They asked for my security ID but I told them I wasn’t falling for it and refused to share anything. Then they just went quiet and hung up.BT Openreach6 yearsAround 12:25, an awful bloke with a strong Indian/English accent rang my mum. He told her to grab her laptop and phone, saying there was some issue with the BT router, then tried to guide her through the system. Luckily, I was at my mum’s place at the time and spotted this cheeky fraudster straight away. It’s maddening that BT and the police haven’t managed to team up and lock these scammers up yet!BT6 yearsGot a call and could hear people chatting in the background like it was an office or something, but then they just cut me off. Seems dodgy to me, but I guess I can’t be completely certain.Submit Your Own Report (0115 945 2337)
