10 yearsWe keep getting calls from this number, and though we pass them through to our answering machine, they often don’t leave a message. It’s becoming rather frustrating!10 yearsPersistent ringing during the day has been a common nuisance, often finding the line engaged. Could someone please investigate this irritation?10 yearsReceived a call from this number, and my wife asked who it was so they could leave a message. The woman on the other end was quite unpleasant, refused to reveal her identity, and just said she'd call back. Very off-putting!10 yearsThis number has been ringing us every day this month, and it always seems to happen just when we're busy at work!10 yearsAbsolutely the same experience! Answered the call and then silence - very peculiar. I’m also on the ex-directory list, so I’m baffled as to how these individuals manage to obtain my number.11 yearslooks like they switched their phone to 0115 9077144 now. rang me like ten times yesterday, but just thrice today at the moment. luckily caller ID helps me avoid picking up, though i still have to walk to the phone to see who it is. usually they stop calling after around a week, until they get a new number to bother you with again.11 yearsGot a call from someone associated with Fashion World, seemingly trying to peddle their wares. We’ve switched our phone number on our account to theirs-what a laugh!11 yearsAbsolutely chuffed to have sorted my TalkTalk bill! Now I’m with a more reliable provider. Big thanks to Solutions! - Caller: DonCaller11 yearsI've tried to ring back four times this week, but the line's constantly busy.11 yearsThis number buzzed my phone twice today, but as soon as I answered with a cheery greet, they hung up quicker than you can say ‘rude’. If they dare to ring again and actually engage in conversation, I plan to ask them to hang on a moment while I answer the door. I won’t utter another word; I’ll just let them stay on the line in deafening silence until they grow weary of waiting and finally hang up. It’s a brilliant tactic! They end up bearing all the costs for an idle chat. After a few of these attempts, they’ll surely get the hint that I’m not the one to waste time on. Plus, it’s quite gratifying knowing that while they're on hold, they can’t bother anyone else. Give it a go; it’s a clever little victory!11 yearsDidn’t leave any voicemail or anything.11 yearsGot a call from them but didn’t leave any voicemail.11 yearsPhones keeps ringing but then they just hang up straight away.11 yearsIt rings nonstop but then they just hang up every time.11 yearsThey just keep ringing even though our number’s been ex-directory for ages and we’re on the TPS. They say they’re from ‘Solutions,’ but it turns out it’s ‘Solutions Marketing,’ some sales outfit. They keep pushing to switch our BT package, but honestly, they just won’t give up!Telephone Preference ServiceSolutions11 yearsI've just received yet another call from these chaps, insisting they can offer me a more affordable broadband deal. They mentioned they’d ring me again, but I firmly told them not to bother. I can't help but wonder how they even got hold of my number when I'm ex-directory!11 yearsThey just kept ringing me nonstop, day in and day out.11 yearsI’d say the best move is to simply put the phone down.11 yearsI've received calls from this number every single day this week, even though I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service. It's incredibly annoying!Telephone Preference Service11 yearsReceived a call from this number today. Thankfully, my 'Call Blocker' stepped in to handle it. I've also flagged the number with OFCOM for good measure.11 yearsThis number persistently calls my parents' house searching for us. We've not resided there for the last nine weeks, mind you.11 yearsYou can either leave them hanging or simply hang up - it's pretty straightforward!11 yearsFor the past week, I've been bombarded daily with offers for broadband and other services from a company named Solutions. This has continued even after I've requested multiple times to be taken off their list. It’s becoming quite vexing!Solutions11 yearsKeeps calling and then abruptly cuts off. It's rather loud too-feels like there's a whole call centre behind the line with loads of chattering going on!11 yearsI picked up the phone and there was silence, nobody there. Sounds like one of those firms that ring loads of numbers at once, then chat with whoever picks up quickest.11 yearsI had the pleasure of receiving a rather intrusive phone call from a chap with a distinctly foreign accent. He claimed to represent a company called Solutions and was touting what he referred to as "exciting offers" on broadband and various services. I politely informed him that my number needed to be removed from his list, as he was rather disturbing my afternoon tea-a most sacred ritual, if I might add! When I mentioned I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service, he seemed utterly oblivious to it. At that point, I decided enough was enough and hung up. It's rather vexatious to think that my landline, which is meant to be ex-directory and not distributed freely, is being targeted like this!SolutionsTelephone Preference Service11 yearsThis number keeps ringing me but whenever I pick up, no one’s there. It’s really annoying how they just keep calling without saying anything.11 yearsJust received my very first bothersome call just a few days after I got my new number, thanks to the TalkTalk breach on September 24, 2015. I did a quick search on the number and promptly reported it to TalkTalk.TalkTalk11 yearsAbsolutely! My mum received a couple of calls from these blokes claiming they could enhance her TalkTalk package. They had all sorts of personal details, including her name and current plan, which set alarm bells ringing. She asked them to ring back when I was around. When they returned the call, I had an uneasy feeling; he kept throwing questions my way and dodging mine. I decided not to engage further and requested a contact number. When he claimed they didn't have one, that was my cue to hang up on the charlatan. We later checked with TalkTalk, and they confirmed it was indeed a scam. Ridiculous!TalkTalk11 yearsI've received my second call from this number already this month, and to be honest, I'm utterly fed up with it now.11 yearsClaimed they were from TalkTalk and had all my details. Mentioned something about a cooling-off period, and when I said I'd need to discuss it with my husband, they just said that was fine and promptly disconnected the call.TalkTalk11 yearsReceived a rather suspicious call from this number earlier today, with the chap on the other end claiming to represent TalkTalk. He seemed to know my current package - quite unsettling, really - and sounded fairly credible. He proposed an upgrade to my service, which I politely turned down, along with an offer for a new SIM card. To be on the safe side, I reached out to TalkTalk directly, and they assured me it was indeed a scam. Interestingly, the caller didn’t request any sensitive details like my banking info, passwords, or account numbers. I have a hunch that had I entertained any of his offers, those sorts of questions would have followed closely behind.TalkTalk11 yearsWe received a call from the same number the other day, and just as we picked up, it disconnected. We're rather fed up with these persistent callers, especially since our number is ex-directory, meaning they shouldn't even have access to it. It's all quite vexing, to be honest!11 yearsI rang them back and it turned out to be a marketing firm, they just played a recorded message.11 yearsThis number rings me every single day but never bothers to leave a message. Really gets on my nerves!11 yearsI received a rather intrusive call earlier today. The individual on the other end, who introduced himself as "George" from "Solutions," seemed quite keen to chat about improving my utility rates. However, here's the kicker: I don’t actually have any utility accounts under my name! He insisted that I had signed up for this nonsense-which is utterly false. My number’s ex-directory, and I’ve made sure to register with the Telephone Preference Service as well. Despite my attempts to explain, this chap kept talking over me, refusing to take my hints. Eventually, I ended the conversation by hanging up. It was definitely one of those bothersome cold calls, and it’s clear he was merely fishing for unsuspecting victims.GeorgeSolutions11 yearsI received a call today at precisely 12:36 in the afternoon, but as soon as I picked up, the line went silent. Curious, I dialled 1471 and obtained this number. It's quite baffling how these companies manage to access numbers that are unlisted; it's a mystery to me! If they wish to play their little games, they're welcome to try. I've got all the necessary details stored on my computer, as my phone is connected to my PC monitor, allowing me to identify callers before I choose to pick up. Unfortunately, since I was using my mobile, I missed seeing the number on my screen.11 yearsWe received a call from this number earlier today, supposedly representing Hitachi Capital. The company that called was Jigsaw. After that, we reached out directly to Hitachi on 08443755500, and they assured us that they’ve put a stop to any further marketing calls from these folks.Hitachi CapitalJigsawHitachi11 yearsReceived a phone call earlier today where the individual attempted to extract some personal details from me. They already had my new number along with my name and address!11 yearsHonestly, I’m a bit baffled. I got a brand new phone number about a week ago, never shared it with anyone, and still these callers are ringing me but never leave a voicemail once my answer machine picks up! It’s quite fishy, especially since I made it clear with the company setting up the phone that the number should be unlisted and kept private. How on earth are these folks getting their hands on numbers that shouldn’t be out there?11 yearsThe number was unfamiliar to me, so I decided not to answer and the caller just hung up!11 yearsReceived a call from this number earlier today, and after a bit of crossed wires and frustration, I decided to follow the guidance from another user. Gave Hitachi a bell and, thankfully, they’ve now removed me from their marketing list. Big thanks to the chap who shared that tip!11 yearsI received a call on my elderly mother's phone, who is living with dementia, and I have to say, it was quite infuriating. The caller launched straight into a spiel without allowing me a moment to respond, stating they were following up on 'my' request for free phone calls to be provided to this number, which they claimed had yet to be fulfilled. I didn't manage to interject at all; after a few attempts at saying hello, he abruptly ended the call. It seems to be just another brazen scam, honestly! These types of individuals really deserve a severe reprimand!11 yearsI've been inundated with calls from this number-around four to six times daily for the last week, if not more. My answering machine picks up, yet not a single message is ever left. It’s incredibly frustrating, particularly when you’re waiting for an important call.11 yearsI received a call claiming to be from Hitachi, and although they chatted with me, they have relentlessly contacted me on a daily basis for almost a fortnight now!Hitachi11 yearsJust got a ring from a bloke who said he was from italk, a firm I'd never come across before. He was trying to persuade me to move my account over to them. Weirdly, he mentioned my wife’s name and said she’d given the go-ahead for the switch. When I checked with her, she had no clue about any of it. (Maybe he found her name from the electoral register or something.) I cut the call short after that. The guy sounded quite pushy and kept pressing me if I was the one paying the bills, but I didn’t reply to that.11 yearsSomebody phoned me saying they were from Talk Talk, but the info they gave was all wrong. What really freaked me out was that they had loads of my Talk Talk account details, which seemed really dodgy.TalkTalk11 yearsSaid they were from Talk Talk but provided some rather alarming and incorrect details. Quite concerning, really.11 yearsThey've been ringing me daily for a solid week now. I've given up on picking up the phone and simply use 1471 to find out who it is.11 yearsI've been receiving calls from this number nearly every week this month, and just in the last few days alone. I only got the chance to respond once, and the moment they mentioned wanting to speak to our mother, I realised I was dealing with a persistent annoyance. My number is supposed to be unlisted, which makes it baffling how they got hold of it in the first place. It's really quite irritating!11 yearsI'm receiving continuous calls, anywhere between three to four times daily. It's becoming quite bothersome!11 yearsThey keep calling me daily but never leave a voicemail or say anything.11 yearsI receive calls from this number two or three times each day, but since I recognise it, I've chosen to ignore them.11 yearsBeen getting calls like this all week, so frustrating!11 yearsAnnoying phone call. This number has rung me repeatedly in the past.11 yearsI've been getting calls from this random number pretty much every day, always at different times. The annoying bit is, they never bother to leave a message on my voicemail. Feels like harassment!11 yearsTalkTalk has introduced a fantastic feature allowing users to block unwanted calls at no extra charge. It truly does wonders for silencing those pesky interruptions!TalkTalk11 yearsI received a call from this number at precisely 10:49 am. The individual on the other line couldn't seem to hear me properly and kept restating themselves. After about three minutes of this frustrating back-and-forth, I decided to hang up. It's high time they were tracked down and slapped with a hefty fine!11 yearsAnnoying call, I was out at the time, didn’t leave a voicemail, and they’ve phoned previously.11 yearsReceived a call around half-past seven this evening. It was some sort of marketing spiel for TalkTalk, if I recall correctly. I told them not to ring me again, so fingers crossed that message gets through! Let's wait and see what happens.TalkTalk12 yearsReceived a call from someone seeking to chat with an individual we aren’t familiar with. As soon as we inquired about their identity, they mentioned something about Auto Trader. Quite puzzling, to say the least!Auto Trader12 yearsI received a call earlier today purporting to be from Talk Talk. They were insisting that I establish a password for someone else to gain access to my account. It’s rather peculiar, considering I’m already a Talk Talk customer myself!12 yearsI received a call from this number at 8 in the evening, but it seemed like no one was on the other end of the line.12 yearsI've received a couple of phone calls from them, and both times they've left voicemails that are nothing more than the sound of office chatter in the background. Quite puzzling!12 yearsLately, there have been persistent calls coming through to my parents' landline. Each time I pick up, I can make out murmurs and chatter in the background. I attempt to engage by saying 'hello,' but the line remains mute, only for them to abruptly disconnect. It's rather peculiar!12 yearsReceived a call around half past seven in the evening. They hung up as soon as I picked up. I’m with TalkTalk too. What the heck!TalkTalk12 yearsI received a call this evening at precisely 7:35 PM. As a former direct customer, I'm baffled as to how they managed to obtain my number. I'm with TalkTalk myself and, like others have pointed out, these pesky nuisance calls are becoming a real nuisance. It’s frustrating because they discourage you from answering the phone altogether, even when it might be an important or urgent matter. Something really needs to change regarding these bothersome calls!TalkTalk12 yearsReceived a call while we were out and no message was left. It’s a private number that shouldn’t have been shared, seeing as it's supposed to be confidential.12 yearsReceived a call today around half one in the afternoon. I chose not to pick up as the number was unfamiliar. It appears to be from Beeston Stapleford in Nottingham. I do wish I had any inkling of who it might be, as I would certainly take the steps to report them to the telephone preference service.Beeston StaplefordNottingham12 yearsI keep getting calls from this number, and I really wish they'd stop. It's such a bother!12 yearsJust received a call moments ago. The individuals on the line claimed it's concerning Speak Speak.12 yearsReceived a call on the 16th of December, 2014, at just before eight in the evening. Strangely enough, there was no one on the line and not a single message left behind. Quite odd, really!12 yearsMy previous contact list turned out to be utterly pointless. Honestly, these businesses ought to fork out cash if they want access to people's phone numbers! They simply use automated dialling systems that start from 000000001 and go from there. Each company maintains its own records of numbers that are deemed invalid, those that ring but don’t answer (you know, the ones that make you want to ring back), and of course, they keep tabs on the numbers that actually pick up, which they can then sell on to others. It’s quite the racket, really!12 yearsI've been getting calls from this number for the past week, but every time I pick up, there's nobody on the other end. It's becoming quite bothersome!12 yearsI've been receiving calls from this number this week as well. They never bother to leave a message, and would you believe it - I'm also with TalkTalk!TalkTalk12 yearsI kindly request that you refrain from giving me calls.12 yearsI've been receiving calls from this number for the entire week, yet as soon as I pick up, they simply disconnect. It’s quite odd considering I've been with TalkTalk for half a year and haven’t had a single call until now. What's more perplexing is that I haven’t shared my number with a soul, so how on earth did they get hold of it???TalkTalk12 yearsAs a member of the Telephone Preference Service, I’m keen to understand the proper procedures I can undertake regarding this persistent number that keeps getting in touch with me. It's becoming rather tiresome, if I’m honest! What official actions can I pursue to put a stop to this nuisance?Telephone Preference Service12 years30/10/2014: I received a call two days back, and as I was about to leave a message, all I heard was the caller shouting "Hello! Hello?". Then, just yesterday, I got another call but they didn’t leave a message. I decided to do a quick search online to see if it might be someone I recognise, but thankfully, I stumbled upon this useful site. I've now saved the number as Nottingham Nuisance in my contacts, so I’ll definitely avoid picking up in the future. Cheers for the assistance!12 yearsI received a call from this number around 7:55 PM on Thursday, 29th October 2014. As soon as I answered, they hung up. Quite strange, really.12 yearsI've been receiving incessant calls from this number, yet there's never anyone on the other end. It's rather bothersome, to say the least!12 yearsI've been receiving calls from 01159417773 around three times daily, yet they never bother to leave a message. Quite frustrating, really!12 yearsI've been getting calls from them as well, yet they never bother to leave a voicemail. Quite puzzling, really!12 yearsThis particular number has been persistently ringing my phone, yet every time I answer, they promptly hang up. Quite the pleasure, honestly-it's hard to sell anything when you’re cutting the connection! Like quite a few others here, I’m stuck with the dubious honour of being a Talktalk customer, so I’m guessing it’s linked to that somehow.Talktalk12 yearsI've received two calls from this number over the past week. I've chosen not to pick up, and they don't bother leaving a message either. What an annoyance!12 yearsI've been receiving calls nearly every day for the past two to three weeks. I've chosen to ignore them completely.12 yearsPlease cease all calls to my number! I've reported this unsavoury business to the local authorities, and they're keeping an eye on things.12 yearshad a few of those dodgy calls, must be a scam, no doubt!12 yearsFraudulent activity! They've started pretending to be TalkTalk!TalkTalk12 yearsI've encountered a fair few of these calls lately, and after getting another one yesterday, I reached out to TalkTalk to see if perhaps someone had managed to infiltrate their system and access my information. I was pleasantly surprised when their response arrived in just a couple of hours, rather than the stated 72. They apologised profusely for the marketing nuisance and assured me that I would be taken off their mailing list, although it might take up to 28 days to fully process. It appears they're indeed the culprits! Every time you purchase something, they bombard you with offers for additional products. The moment you try to log in to your online account, you’re met with a barrage of adverts - first for TV services, then for high-speed broadband - by the time you finally navigate the relentless marketing onslaught and access your account, you've completely forgotten what you intended to do in the first place!TalkTalk12 yearsI received a call from a chap who seemed to know my name and asserted he was representing TalkTalk. He went on about some supposed international calls linked to my account, but I'm absolutely certain that’s not the case. I just got off the phone with TalkTalk, and they assured me that there are no international charges on my statement, and importantly, they didn’t place a call to me earlier today. This is clearly a scam! Be wary and don’t share any details.TalkTalk12 yearsI've received yet another three calls in the span of three days, and they seem to be familiar with my name. What's even more unsettling is that they refuse to converse with anyone except for me. Quite concerning, to say the least.12 yearsIs this the same lot? They have a base in Nottingham and the number you get when you call matches theirs. If it's indeed them, then they must have complete access to the TalkTalk database, including passwords for accounts as mentioned in last week's discussions. The link above provides their full address. I’ve completely lost patience with that ‘captcha’ nonsense on the contact page at the bottom!Nottingham12 yearsOver the past fortnight, I've received around six calls from this particular number. Each time I pick up, there’s nothing but silence on the other end, and on occasions when I've missed the call, they haven't bothered to leave a voicemail. It's proving to be terribly irritating. Surely someone can put a stop to this nonsense?12 yearsJust a couple of days ago, they decided to give me another bell. I wasn’t having any of it, so I questioned their legitimacy as TalkTalk representatives. To my surprise, the chap revealed my password, which is not something you could ever guess and is entirely unique. I promptly instructed them not to contact me again. The most frustrating part? I ended up missing the final few moments of a film I was engrossed in. It seems the only effective tactic to send them packing is to lose your temper with them. I’ve also taken the liberty of adding them to the last caller blocking service (a complimentary solution provided by TalkTalk, though you need to activate it first - it’s pretty straightforward through the ‘My Account’ section, or just dial 14258 followed by **). Now I’m left wondering if they’ll try to ring from a different call centre next time!TalkTalk12 yearsI received a call from this number a couple of days back, and it was rather unsettling as they addressed me by name and seemed to have detailed knowledge of my TalkTalk account. They rattled off specifics about the perks I’ve got on my phone, even mentioning a discount that was arranged by someone from the customer retention team a while back. Honestly, it’s a bit alarming. There are only two plausible explanations for how they could possess such private information; either they’ve managed to gain access to TalkTalk’s database, or they’ve somehow breached my online account and were snooping around my account details.TalkTalk12 yearsAnnoying caller!12 yearsWhoever this number belongs to, it appears to be already in use!12 yearsI receive calls from this number nearly every day, and I can’t seem to put an end to it. They never bother to leave a message, so to me, it’s clearly not anything of consequence!12 yearsI've received multiple calls from this number but decided not to pick up. However, my husband accidentally answered one time, and they claimed to be from TalkTalk. He quickly hung up since we had already requested to block all those pesky marketing calls from them.TalkTalkSubmit Your Own Report (0115 941 7773)
