This number rang me at 2:10 in the morning and really startled me awake. They didn’t bother to leave a voicemail, though.

I've been receiving calls from this number repeatedly, but they never bother to leave a voicemail. I'm quite convinced it's some sort of scam.

**Looks like this one's resurfaced in 2024!** My answering machine picked up, and the recorded message sounded the alarm, asking me to hit 1 for a complimentary message or something along those lines. It rattled on about it three times before the call finally disconnected. I just went ahead and deleted it!

I had a rather peculiar call today, purportedly from SSE, inquiring whether I had received their notification regarding potential adverse weather conditions and possible power outages. Strangely, when I attempted to return the call, I was met with an unanswered voicemail. Quite odd, if you ask me!

Received a phone call last night at 9:45 PM. Since I was unfamiliar with the number, I chose not to answer it.

I received a call from this number at a rather ungodly hour of 01:45 today! Considering I have an elderly mother who’s 86 and two little ones, not to mention family on the mainland, one of whom has just been discharged from hospital after an emergency admission, it's no wonder I'm still feeling quite rattled!

I got two voicemails from this number urging me to hit 1 to confirm I’d received their call. It’s obviously a scam!

Claimed to be from Welsh Water, informing me that the water pressure is low.

I can't believe the audacity of these lowlifes! They had the nerve to call my 90-year-old mum, who’s been on her own since we lost dad recently. The call came through at 9 in the evening, claiming there would be power outages and managed to wrangle her personal information. It’s left her absolutely terrified! I hope these scammers get what they deserve—utterly despicable behaviour!

I've received a handful of dodgy phone calls this week, including one from this number just five minutes ago.

I let it ring on the landline a couple of times in the last half hour as I had no idea who was calling. So, I decided to do a bit of sleuthing and landed here. Cheers for the heads-up! I won’t be picking up from that number. Just a bunch of dodgy scammers, for sure!

Received two calls within an hour earlier today, on the 24th of May, 2023. I chose not to pick up either time. Afterward, I dialed 1471 to trace the number and subsequently checked 'Who Called Me'. It appears to be a potential bank scam. Cheers to 'Who Called Me' for the heads-up!

I received a call from a number I didn’t recognise, and it was an automated voice trying to schedule a delivery time. I’m not awaiting any packages, so it seems a bit dodgy to me. The number was 0115933800. I wouldn’t trust it, looks like a scam!

I received a call that claimed to be from SSE, saying they wanted to verify my information for emergencies like power outages. They even insisted I press 1 to acknowledge I'd got their message. The only thing I ended up pressing was the delete button!

I suspect this might be a bit of a con. I chose not to pick up, but they left a rather vague voicemail urging me to press one to confirm I'd received it. Honestly, it sounded dodgy, so I opted to just delete the whole thing instead.

Seems like there's a dodgy number masquerading as Welsh Water, asking you to press 1 or 2 after a call. I'm quite concerned that some folks might be taken in by this trick.

I received a couple of calls from this number, but I opted to let them land on my voicemail since I didn’t recognise it. When I played the message back, a man spoke a name—curiously enough, it’s my partner’s last name rather than my own—before abruptly terminating the call. Honestly, I haven’t a clue who it might be.

I received a rather suspicious automated call purporting to inform me about a supposed power outage in "my locality." They stated they'd dispatch engineers to sort it out. The options offered were quite odd – press 1 to replay the message or press 2 to acknowledge that you’ve received the information. Very dodgy indeed!

I received three calls from this number yesterday, and it's clearly a scam. They claimed that we'd been charged for the call, which is utter nonsense. Honestly, why can't these individuals just find honest work instead of trying to swindle others? The number's from the Nottingham area, and we're seriously considering contacting the police there about it.

Absolutely a dodgy operation. They've ditched the pretence of being a utility company, bank, or government agency. Now, they just tell you it’s a complimentary message and ask you to press 1 to accept or 9 to decline. I strongly advise against doing either—simply hang up! You'll end up being hit with an outrageous fee if you don’t. Stay safe!

A automated voice informed me that I had received a message at no cost. I had the option to press a button to listen to the message or decline it. Without taking any action, the call ended after approximately ten seconds. Following that, I decided to block the number.

I received a call from 01159 338000 on my landline, which was a recorded message claiming I had a "free message" and instructing me to press 1 to listen to it. This happened twice within just a few minutes! I ended up hanging up and will attempt to block the number.

Rang me every couple of hours all night long claiming to be from SEE, insisting they were addressing some sort of outage. Funny thing is, there wasn’t any outage at all! This evening, they decided to ring again, asserting that an engineer was on their way and prompting me to press 1. I didn’t take the bait and have now put a block on their number.

I received a rather concerning call at ten in the evening, where someone posing as the water board tried to speak with my elderly neighbour. Luckily, she had the good sense to refrain from pressing any buttons and promptly hung up on them. Strangely, they rang back two more times later that very night!

So annoying! This number has rung me twice already this morning, and I've had unwanted calls from them in the past too. They keep saying, "This is a complimentary call. Press 1 to engage or 9 to decline." I opted to decline, and now I'm in the midst of blocking them for good!

Received a robotic voice message. It was a complimentary call – to listen to the message, hit 1, or if you wish to decline, press 9. There’s no cost for this call. I didn’t engage and hung up instead. They tried again a quarter of an hour later!

I received a rather dodgy automated call directing me to some website, but the instructions were all muddled up, making it quite impossible to catch the exact URL. It did mention pressing 1, but I decided to hang up instead as it reeked of a scam.

I received a call from this number with a robotic voice claiming there was a power outage. However, it's a bit dodgy as I had already been notified by my energy supplier via letter before they called. This isn’t the first time this particular number has tried to reach me either. Seems rather suspicious, if you ask me!

I haven't the foggiest who rang me from those two numbers, 0115933800 and 0115933000, but they both buzzed me within a mere ten minutes of one another. Sounds suspiciously like a scam to me! I couldn't be bothered to hang around listening to the robotic nonsense.

Every day at 11am, my phone rings relentlessly. I receive a text message that asks me to either accept it by replying with "1" or reject it by replying with "9". It's incredibly annoying because this message somehow manages to transfer itself to every phone in the office system, so there could be up to five phones ringing simultaneously. No matter how many times I've attempted to reject it, the message is never accepted, giving me the impression that it's some sort of spam or hack.
