We answered the phone and stayed silent as we were unfamiliar with the number. After a moment, the line disconnected. It called again, and we answered, letting them know we weren’t interested in unwelcome calls, and promptly hung up. The number persisted in calling us, so we decided to let it go to the answering machine. Well, it might just be Eon, as we've only just made the switch to their services. Quite baffling really, as I'm not quite sure why on earth they’d be trying to get through to our mobile. We’ve had two calls so far – the first was a bit odd, as the caller left a message that sounded like a jumbled mess of background noise, perhaps someone accidentally recording while on the move? Then the second time we answered, all we got was a load of nothing, just utter silence on the other end. Very peculiar indeed!

The phone continued to ring incessantly, and eventually, we decided to let the answering machine take over. After researching this on the website, we discovered it might be Eon, which made us feel somewhat guilty since we are also in the midst of switching our services to them.

I’ve been receiving a barrage of calls lately, purportedly from EON, but I suspect it's actually another firm touting boiler servicing. Most of the time, there’s utter silence on the line when I pick up. To make matters worse, I’ve been inundated with scam calls over the past couple of months, particularly since the eBay breach leaked so many personal details. Just to clarify, this isn’t EON reaching out directly, and I’m not even a customer of theirs! I’ve firmly declined to share any information and simply told them I wasn’t interested, yet they persist in calling me. Quite frustrating, really!

I dialled this number again and discovered it belongs to a firm named Home Energy Services. Unfortunately, I couldn't reach a soul; it was all an automated recording. It seems they're probably peddling boiler insurance or something along those lines!
