These scammers from Delhi are using UK VoIP numbers they bought to trick people. If you're young, a good way to mess with them is to keep them talking on the phone for ages, so they can't bother more vulnerable folks. Just pretend you’re interested in stuff for your phone but give them nonsense details instead. They usually ring because you put up an ad on Gumtree with your number. Never share your number or any personal info with them. Also, try changing your Gumtree name to something weird or unusual - it helps you spot if the call is coming from a Gumtree ad they found.

watch out this is a scam on mobiles - dont trust it. ive had several mobile plans opened up in my name through virgin media, vodaphone, and three mobile. the caller was an asian woman pushing mobile offers. just cut the call right away - you’ve been told!

Got a call from a lady who spoke with a foreign accent, maybe Chinese or something similar, but the phone line was really bad. She was calling on a Nottingham number but it felt like she was calling from overseas. Tried to push some sales stuff. Honestly, I'd say don't pick up these sorts of calls.

They were calling up saying they had some special offers on mobiles. Quite suspicious, felt like a sales pitch trying to lure me in with 'exclusive' deals or something. Doesn’t seem legit to me.
