I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list. It strikes me as yet another one of those pesky tactics where they pretend to follow up on a non-existent survey to justify their bothersome call.

The moment we said, "I don’t reckon that’s correct; we haven’t actually taken part in any survey," the caller replied, "Oh, don’t fret about that if you can’t recall, it’s perfectly alright," and promptly ended the call!
