I phoned my mother’s home number to discuss setting up a trust for her money. We arranged a meeting for that same day but the person never turned up.

On Monday, a young woman called me and gave off a bit of a scam vibe, mentioning my partner who has Alzheimer’s. She claimed she’d already chatted with him, which I really doubted because he has no recollection of speaking to anyone. Then the next day, some bloke got in touch with a few questions. When I asked him where he had my partner’s details from, he suddenly got quiet and didn’t want to say much. It definitely felt suspicious to me.
