I was informed that the call was regarding a minor car incident I had been involved in. When I mentioned it was far from minor-actually quite serious, as it resulted in a fatality-he abruptly ended the conversation, almost as if he couldn’t hang up fast enough.

Got a call from this number earlier, they claimed they heard about my car crash. I told them I was actually pleased someone had reached out since I’d lost both my legs and now use a wheelchair. The bloke on the other end started stammering badly and I just ended the call, laughing my head off. Proper proud of myself for just cutting it short. Fingers crossed they don’t ring back again.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from Goldstream, said he’d got a report about my husband being in a car crash. I told him it must’ve been bloody awful since my husband can’t even remember it. Then the man asked if I kissed me mum with that sort of mouth - I said YES and he just cut me off! Proper scam if you ask me!

I picked up the phone on a whim, not really paying attention. The din in the background made it obvious I was on the line with some call centre. They were after someone whose name isn't mine, so I promptly informed them it was a wrong number and promptly hung up the phone! At least it’s a UK number, I was half-expecting an international call that would leave my wallet feeling considerably lighter!
