I've been getting calls from different versions of this number, all linked to Magretha Telecommunication. Today, I was waiting for a client to ring me with the same area code, but the caller was quite rude. They started by asking for me using my maiden name, which seemed odd right from the start. When I asked what it was about, they said they were from 'Zest Tax Refund.' I calmly told them I wasn't interested. My husband handles all our tax stuff as he’s a business and tax advisor, so I knew straight away it was a scam. They didn’t appreciate being called out and I blocked the number immediately!

I kept getting loads of missed calls from Nottingham numbers, all from different lines but linked to Magrethea Communications Limited. Managed to pick up one today and the person on the other end was talking about a tax rebate. When I requested more info to give to my accountant, she just said the accountant wouldn't know and hung up. Seems dodgy to me - either they’re after your bank info to nick your money or they propose to apply for the rebate for you and then take a huge chunk of it as commission. Best to steer clear of these lot.

Received an unsolicited call trying to peddle their sales and marketing services. Best to just give it a miss, in my opinion.
