This year, I've been getting calls from 0115 871 4959 pretty much any time of day. Just yesterday, they rang me for the fifth time before 9 in the evening. They never leave any voicemail though. I've tried blocking the number on my phone, but then calls come through from 0115 871 with different last four numbers each time. It's really annoying!

I’m with HMRC and can tell you straight - if you’re owed any tax back, HMRC will contact you directly. These dodgy firms are pretending to claim refunds for you, then they charge a hefty fee or even take the full amount. They even register themselves as your “agent” so they can keep ripping you off. If you reckon you’ve got a rebate coming, get in touch with HMRC yourself and don’t hand over any details to these lot.
