I’m dealing with a debt collection firm for E-ON too, and honestly, it’s the same nightmare someone else mentioned here. They claimed I owed about £500 on what they called a final bill - but the real amount was closer to £200. They were charging me for gas usage way beyond what I’d actually used, even after I checked several months on. Avoid E-ON if you can, because 9 months down the line, we’re still locked in a dispute and they just won’t budge on the payment!

Got a call from this number today. I've just moved into a new flat and, as expected, there were loads of old bills waiting for me. One was from E-on, saying I needed to set up an account as a new tenant to sort out previous charges - which apparently I'm now stuck with! I only had E-on for three days before switching off. Tried ringing them back, but after 25 minutes of stuck on hold with that annoying “your call is important” message, I gave up. If it really mattered, why not just pick up the phone? Plus, their meter readings were way higher than the photos I snapped when I moved in! Honestly, E-on are a nightmare!

I keep getting calls from some debt collectors working for EOn. It’s always about this huge “estimated” bill they’ve made up - once it was like £350 or something crazy - but the real amount I owed was more like £32.47. Their excuse is they couldn’t get the meter reading, even tho it’s right outside and easy to see! They even tried to threaten court action over it. Not holding a grudge or anything though...

Someone from what I believe is Utility Debt Recovery called me too. I’m pretty sure it’s them since they’re pretty much the only ones hitting up my phone lately lol. Feels like some sort of debt chasing, if you ask me.
