Got a call from 0115 857 2520 earlier, and of course there was that annoying pause before you hear a bunch of people chattering away in a busy call centre. A bloke asked for me by my full name. I just said, “Speaking…” - never say “yes” because they might splice it into something else later. Then immediately the call was cut off. Honestly, it’s a bit depressing how some folks waste their time on this rubbish instead of something better.

Just had to look up this number after getting a strange text a couple of days ago about applying for a £400 energy support grant that's supposedly given automatically to those who qualify. Turns out this number is fake, so watch out! Scammers are definitely on the prowl. I'm blocking and deleting 0115 857 2520 for good. Got a couple calls from this number. Picked up once and it was a woman with poor English, asking about whether my house qualified for some energy grant. I tried explaining the bills aren’t under my name, but she didn’t want to hear it. Ended up cutting the call and blocking the number.
