Received a missed call from a number I don’t recognise. It’s puzzling, as I can't fathom why someone from Nottingham would be reaching out to our mobile.

I received a call today from someone claiming to represent Legal and General insurance. They mentioned that my insurance was up for renewal and began explaining their offerings. However, I became suspicious when they asked for my birthday and questioned why they needed that information. The caller claimed that age affected the price. I decided to ask them to send me a quote so that I could consider it further. Surprisingly, the caller said they couldn't provide a quote without filling in some details. I told them I would discuss this with my husband, took down their number, and ended the call. When I tried to call back later, I reached a recorded message saying it was Solutions something and not to worry as they would call back. Well, I certainly won't be answering that call, that's for sure.

They persist in attempting to bypass my call guardian but refuse to provide their name; as a result, I have decided to block this number.

The caller refused to provide their name for my call-blocking device. Consequently, I have chosen to block them. Another one has met their fate.

I picked up the house phone and someone on the other end was asking for a Mr. C..... I went over to properly speak to them, but all I could hear was some chatter in the background with no one addressing me directly. After a moment of confusion, I hung up and returned to my lunch. It seems like others have flagged this number as being linked to telemarketing or Talk Talk. What a right pain they are!

I received a call on my landline from an unknown number. I chose not to pick up the call as I have never shared my landline number and suspected it to be a cold call. I generally use my mobile phone for making calls, while the landline remains reserved for 0800 numbers and the broadband line.

Can you please block this number? They claimed to have called last year, but they actually did not.

I am tired of receiving unwanted phone calls, just like everyone else. It seems like the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is ineffective, as the calls continue without any change.

Once again today, I received a call from this particular number. It always seems to happen around 4pm. I choose not to answer because these calls are typically scams, and I have recently signed up for TPS (Telephone Preference Service).

Has anyone got information about the previous occupier? They haven't lived here for over 6 years and someone has called twice today asking for them. Does anyone recognize the caller?

I received three phone calls within a span of three hours, but I chose not to answer them as I suspected they might be scam attempts to gain unauthorized access to my computer.

To prevent further calls from this number, I will block it using the courteous services of TalkTalk.

Received a telephone call earlier today. Fortunately, we also have caller identification, which enabled us to ignore the call and subsequently block the number.

Recently, I received a call from this particular phone number and the gentleman informed me that he had already spoken to me earlier regarding a computer or broadband virus. Fortunately, I am not naive, so I informed him that we are registered on the Telephone Preference Service (which isn't particularly helpful) and he promptly ended the call. Additionally, it is worth noting that we are not listed in any public phone directories, which makes me curious as to how he obtained my personal information.

In the past, I would receive calls from them, however, I have found a solution with my Panasonic cordless phones that have a highly convenient call-blocking feature. If a blocked caller tries to ring me, they will hear a busy tone and get charged for the call, but my phone won't ring. The blocked caller's number is still recorded, so I can keep track of how many times they've attempted to contact me!

By the way, if you happen to be a TalkTalk customer, blocking nuisance calls can be easily done.
