Replying to someone else’s comment, I never asked for a quote from any “partner website.” If you think otherwise, it’s just the caller trying to pin the blame on you for their own dodgy cold calling. And even if you did ask for a quote somewhere, that doesn’t automatically mean you agreed to get a call from them. I reckon that other post was either from someone on their payroll or just somebody who fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

This number keeps ringing me up, and they even use the same number they want you to ring back, 01507 228 961. I reckon it’s WorldPay, as I’ve mentioned them before. Looks like they’re pushing card payment machines for businesses, but I don’t run one. I’ve set both numbers to auto-block now, but before that, whenever I blocked one, they’d just ring straight away from another. They can’t seem to leave a voicemail on my mobile once the number’s on the reject list. Fingers crossed, blocking both will finally stop their calls. It’s really annoying.

i keep getting calls from these numbers, including one they tell you to ring back on, 01507 228 961. pretty sure it’s worldpay, i’ve mentioned them here before. sounds like they’re pushing card payment machines for businesses. problem is, i don’t even run a business. i’ve set my phone to automatically block both numbers now, but before that when i blocked one, they’d just ring straight back from another. they can’t leave voicemails when their number’s blocked though. fingers crossed that blocking both sorts it. honestly, such a hassle.
