I've been receiving calls without any caller ID showing up.

In the span of just two days, I've received three calls from this number: one at 11:24 on 7th October 2011, followed by another at 11:42 on 8th October 2011, and the last one at 13:15 on the same day. A woman claimed to be representing Bulldog Security and mentioned that their system indicated that we didn't have an alarm system in place (which is completely inaccurate). I asked her for the specifics of the company and their address so that I could lodge a complaint with the Telephone Preference Service. She inquired if we were registered with TPS and suggested that their number had somehow evaded their usual screening. When I insisted on more information, the caller became quite aggressive, uttered some expletives, and hung up rather abruptly.

Over the last few months, I've received a multitude of calls from individuals purporting to represent Bulldog Security. They insist that their security system is top-notch and guarantee substantial savings. It's amusing, really, as my current security provider also boasts about having the best out there, and I’m well aware of the price I paid for it. They were rather coy about giving specifics on their costs and attempted to press me into disclosing how much I forked out for my own system. When I resisted sharing too much sensitive information, they abruptly hung up, which was quite cheeky! I had previously made it clear that I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet I find these calls still inundating my line multiple times each month.
