Just got a call from 01158386799 about some life insurance deal, but when I refused to give any personal info, the bloke started swearing at me and insulting my wife. He wanted me to hand over my details to supposedly get a better insurance cover. I’m 65 and my missus will turn 60 soon. It’s shocking how these calls can cause so much upset, especially when they’re trying to scam people out of their hard-earned savings for retirement. Honestly, these scammers should be stopped from ringing at all, and the police should step in.

On the morning of Thursday 11th June 2020, at 10:29am, my phone rang from 01158386799. I chose not to pick up since I don't recognise any numbers from Nottingham. I've got this Shield app installed which blocks spam calls, so no company ID appeared. Plus, I haven’t taken part in any online questionnaires lately - which is normal for me. Given I've been getting loads of dodgy mobile calls all week and ignoring them, I figured this was just another scammer trying their luck to get someone on the line and start their scam.

Just got a call at 6:49pm from this number. Nobody spoke, but I could sense someone was on the line. Seems like it might be some kind of scam.

Got a call from this number out of the blue. They kept saying someone with this number was in a car accident last year. When I tried to ask what they wanted, they just repeated themselves over and over. Then they started asking “do you not get it?” and “do you need medical help?” which felt pretty weird. So I just said “bugger off, goodbye” real firm and hung up.

On Friday 20th March 2020, around 2:20 in the afternoon, I got a call from 01158386799. When I answered, there was complete silence on the other side. Not sure if it was a wrong number or some kind of scam. C. B.
