What’s puzzling me is how on earth a firm that seems dodgy got hold of my info just because I asked a question about something they’re meant to handle. Feels fishy to me.

I've been letting their calls go to voicemail, and honestly, that's probably for the best. Whenever they ring, my phone shows the caller as Worldpay. I did try contacting Worldpay myself about my Mastercard, and they were quite clear that they only deal with companies, not individuals. It's definitely a scam in my book. I'm going to add the number to my block list now.

Got a letter claiming to be from Wordpay, but there was no real address or legit website listed anywhere. The letter had the phone number 0808 208 5143 on it. I phoned back to check it out but quickly realised they were just after my card info. They wanted me to open some rates letter via Docusign, but I had a bad feeling and just ended the call. I’ve since updated all my bank and card details, froze my accounts with Experian and other places, and reported the scam to Report Fraud and Cifer. Seriously, steer well clear of these lot!

Wordpay kept ringing me loads so I blocked the number a while ago. After that, I found three missed voicemails from them. Looks like someone else has been using my phone number for their business, happened twice now. I gave them a ring today to tell them to take my number off their records. I reached out to Worldpay and got a decent offer. I told them I wanted to switch but needed some time to speak with my current company, so we set a follow-up date. However, they kept ringing me up to five times daily, asking if I’d accepted the quote yet. Eventually, I lost my temper and told the woman calling that if they couldn’t keep their promise about waiting until I was ready, how could I rely on them as my card provider? After that, the calls stopped, and now we’re happy with Worldpay.

Then, not long after, another woman called from WorldZone about a card reader for my business. Yeah, it’s from this firm called WorldPay. I filled out an online form (regrettably) ’cause I was looking to take card payments. But now I really wish I didn’t, they just won’t stop ringing me 😠.
