somebody rang me claiming to be from my life insurance provider, trying to confirm if my policy was still current. I told them it’s my duty to notify them about any changes, not theirs to keep checking. I also said if they have anything important to say or ask, they should send it properly by post on official company letterhead. Of course, they never bothered, probably because the insurance firm they mentioned isn’t the one I actually deal with!

Seriously, whoever they are, we don’t need them bothering us unless we choose to answer. What’s the point of ringing once, hanging up before you can reply, then blocking your call back? If they’re legit, it’s pretty rude and just bad manners all round.

This number’s rang me twice now. If it’s really Legal & General, why don’t they bother leaving a voicemail? Feels dodgy to me, so I’ve just gone ahead and blocked it. Probably some kind of scam.

Got a call from this number today around 11:18 in the morning. It was just another cold call. The person on the line claimed they were from Ensure Protection and thought I had some sort of business with Metlife. I’ve honestly never come across those names before, so I just told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call.
