It seems there’s someone out there posing as if they're from E.ON, trying to fish for personal information. It's rather concerning to think they’re pulling such stunts. Stay vigilant, folks!

I received a rather dubious call claiming I owed Eon a staggering £3,000. I promptly informed them that I found such a statement completely farcical and that I would not hesitate to escalate the matter to the authorities. Truly scandalous behaviour!

Received my first pesky call today from a number based in Nottingham.
It might just be another piece of the puzzle in the ongoing investigation into the so-called "improvement officer" at my workplace, who is embroiled in serious accusations regarding data protection breaches and other forms of bullying and misconduct.
I've now blocked the number, of course.
To add insult to injury, a whopping £1000 was taken from my account by these individuals on Monday. Thankfully, I contacted my bank straight away, and they were quick to reverse the transaction. My regular direct debit for Eon hasn't changed, so if that £1000 charge was legitimate, a reputable firm would have dealt with it in a far more professional manner.
Just a heads up – tread carefully. It seems these folks might very well be facing scrutiny.

I'm fairly certain this belongs to Eon. I happened to call their mainline number, 0808 501 5200, and, if I'm not mistaken, I ended up speaking with someone in South Africa. Rest assured, it's the real deal and not a con.

I received a call purporting to be from eON, and right off the bat, they wanted me to answer security questions. They mentioned they’d send me an email to verify their identity, but lo and behold, that email never came. Best to steer clear of these types entirely!

I received a phone call from this number purporting to be EoN. They claimed they needed to discuss the account with me, although I’m well aware that my husband is the primary account holder since he handled everything when we moved in. They insisted that no one else was registered on the account, but I had a strong feeling this was a scam right from the start. When I mentioned that I would need to consult my husband, who’s the one that manages it all, they hastily ended the call, wishing me a pleasant day.

I got a ring from 01158241629 earlier today. I chose not to pick up as the number seemed rather dubious, especially since it came through on my landline and not my mobile. Quite odd, I must say!

E was next in line, as she stated. I mentioned that I have the app installed on my phone and if there are any concerns regarding my account, I’ll reach out, but it certainly won't be her ringing me. So, do one!
Additionally, I got in touch with E via WhatsApp. This landline number doesn't belong to them at all.

I received a call from someone who was aware of my first name but refused to disclose their last name when I asked. They claimed to be from Eon Next and were trying to gather additional information, making references to data protection laws to seem legitimate. However, when I pressed them for more details, they simply ended the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Why is it that every time I get a call like this, the person on the other end seems to have an Asian accent? I mean, if you're going to run a scam operation, at least consider hiring someone named Tracy or Lucy; it would sound a bit more believable! Honestly, a bloke claiming his name is Tom doesn’t sound convincing at all—never met a Tom who talks like that!

I recently received a rather dubious phone call where the caller insisted on obtaining all my personal information. They were quite pushy, wanting payment for a debit that doesn't even exist on my account! I decided to hang up and return the call, only to be greeted with a casual "hello" – not the professional response you’d expect from EONNEXT at all! Clearly a scam!

I received a call from the number 0115 824 1629, and it turned out to be a scam. The caller claimed to be from E.ON, but upon looking into it, I discovered that the number is actually registered in Nottingham and has no connection to E.ON whatsoever.
My advice? Don't share any personal information and insist on verifying their identity as E.ON representatives. They didn’t bother asking for any account number related to E.ON; instead, they were only interested in my date of birth and home address. Stay vigilant!
