Then he pretended like he never asked for it, quickly said “Alright, bye,” and ended the call. Seems dodgy to me, probably some scam to nab bank info.

Sounds like they just ring up anyone, hoping it’s someone with a Whirlpool washing machine, so they can con them out of their bank details for a fake warranty. Total scam if you ask me.
