Got a voicemail today just like the last one, saying something like "you missed a call but we’ll try again later." I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now. It’s so frustrating when you’re busy with work and these scam calls keep coming through. Honestly, why don’t they bother finding proper jobs instead?

Got a call from some bloke with an Irish accent, said he was from 118 and wanted to chat with the business owner. I told him I’m the only one here and could deal with it. He asked straight up if I owned the business, I said no, but I'm happy to assist. He said he’d ring back when the owners are around, but apparently, if I pick up again, he won’t speak to them! Honestly, I’m so tired of these calls. If we ever want to promote or buy something, we’ll reach out ourselves - no need for these random cold calls.

Got called, heard nothing at first, then someone said "hello?" after a bit. I answered back "hello" but then they just hung up straight away. Weird call!

I picked up and there was nothing but silence on the other end. Maybe someone dialled wrong, but they didn’t end the call themselves. After a few seconds of waiting, I just ended it.

Got a call from a bloke speaking with an Irish accent, said he was from 118, trying to push us up the business rankings. Told him we weren’t interested at all. Then he asked why I’d told him to call again, which I didn’t recall. He reckoned it must’ve been my husband. I told him my husband doesn’t really deal with sales calls like that. Ended the call by saying goodbye and putting the phone down.

Received a call inquiring about the business proprietor, but they flatly refused to disclose their location. They even began probing about when the owner might return. If this were a genuine establishment, surely they would have no qualms sharing the purpose of their call. I could distinctly make out the bustling environment of a call centre behind them.
