A well-known carpet cleaning firm called my elderly mum offering to clean her carpets. She said yes but quickly started to worry and called me straight away. I popped round to help. They claimed they’d come between 12 and 2, but showed up at 11 instead. Mum ignored the door, but the guy wouldn’t give up and kept ringing her from withheld and mobile numbers. They really target older people who are vulnerable, and it’s high time something was done about it. She’s signed up with the TPS but clearly they don’t care about that at all.
