Most folks either don’t bother to read the older posts or don’t take any action if they do. That’s exactly why scammers keep smirking, cashing in knowing their calls go unreported. When someone falls for it, the con artists just switch numbers and carry on with the same trick.

A lady rang me up saying she was an energy advisor and asked if she could check my loft. I said no thanks, and she just rudely ended the call straight away. She was really aggressive and quite unpleasant to deal with!

I pushed a bit more and she mentioned something along the lines of EDPR, so I asked what that acronym meant. Instead of answering, she just stuck to her prepared spiel and ignored my questions. After I kept probing, she finally gave up and ended with "sorry to have bothered you." I’ve blocked the number now.

When I asked for more info about their company, all they said was "Energy Hub". Asked about a website? They said they didn’t have one and mentioned there are loads of firms like them. Seemed really dodgy to me. Definitely feels like a scam.

I just received a call from a rather elderly woman inquiring if I had fibreglass or rockwool insulation in my loft. To be honest, I hadn't a clue what was up there! She then insisted that the records indicated it was fibreglass. Apparently, she claimed to be some sort of energy consultant. I decided to cut her off at that point, letting her know I wasn’t keen on engaging further. She promptly disconnected the call.
