The caller said my name and talked about some renewable energy deal, but it just felt dodgy to me. I only picked up because the number was from around here. Pretty sure it was a scam though.

Somebody phoned me up asking for me by name and said my loft insulation from about 10 years back needed an upgrade. I told them it was probably a former tenant (which it definitely wasn’t) who had it done. I also fibbed a bit, saying the landlord was responsible for it, even though I own the place myself. After that, they just ended the call.

I didn't receive any voicemail from them, so I'm led to believe it's likely just a spam call and not anyone familiar to me. I've gone ahead and blocked the number just to be safe.

When I picked up, there was a short silence before a guy called Lewis spoke. He already had my name and address, then started asking if I’d had loft insulation fitted a decade ago, which I definitely haven’t. Told him that wasn’t right and he just ended the call!

It felt a bit dodgy, so I didn't bother. Kinda curious though, does ringing 901 end up costing you a fortune?

A guy with an Asian accent called me claiming to be from some government energy program. I told him I wasn’t interested and to stop bothering me.
