I've received a text from another number. It mentions that banks are reimbursing clients who have been charged a monthly fee for bundled accounts. To claim your refund, simply reply with YES, or say Stop if you'd prefer to opt-out. I had just been on the phone with my broadband provider regarding the cancellation of my account. In a moment of oversight, I mistakenly replied to the message. This number has called me several times. They were banging on about insurance or some such thing. I didn't quite get the hang of it, so I poked a few questions about where they got my number from. They were quite vague and then abruptly ended the call. It seems as though someone has hijacked my number and is misusing it.

I received a rather dubious text from another number.

It claimed that banks are reimbursing customers who have been charged monthly fees for packaged accounts.

This same number has called me several times, harping on about insurance or something of the sort.
I found it all rather puzzling and inquired about how they acquired my number.
They didn’t provide a proper explanation and abruptly hung up.

It seems like my number has been compromised and is being misused.
