Before he even realised I’d answered, he just started asking, ‘Is this Mrs Shaw?’ which is part of my double-barrelled surname. I said yes out of politeness. Then he claimed he was offering a service running in my area (but he got the street name wrong) aimed at homeowners like me - though I actually rent. When I tried to correct him, he told me to calm down and raised his voice over me. That just made me raise mine back and I told him to only call again once he had the right name, address and information about the property owner.
